Things have gotten off to a rough start this season. We lost Thursday night to the Northmen, and something tells me it's not going to get any easier from this point on. I didn't feel the energy was quite right, at least not for me, considering all the distractions of buttoning up many loose ends before the push-off for Baja. I felt good at the line, but felt a bit of impending doom as things progessed past the halfway mark in the match. We just seem to struggle as a team in 501 doubles. I'm not sure what it is, but it isn't the talent, just the jelling that ain't happening, yet...! I'm not going to worry much about it, as it's not that important to always win, but perhaps a bit more important to see how we handle adversity. We've always had a habit of winning a fair share of our matches, and now the darts are falling a bit short. Call it a slump, call it lack of focus, call it whatever you want - I think it's temporary.
