A new life begins in America, in the green Pacific Northwest...

Tequila (Tiki Tila,) pictured here a couple of weeks ago, survived the clear skies over the western North American continent, from the tip of Baja California to the Pacific Northwest, cruising at altitudes reaching 38,000 feet, courtesy of Alaska Air. Bottom line here: Tiki Tila and her sister Mini Maus (pictured below, just scroll down,) Gladys Knight and Lis'beth all successfully made the journey into a new life with me. We departed the Los Cabos airport Sunday at a bit after noon on a hot, sunny day. Trisha and Nandi made the trip with us to send us off, and it was truly a hard good-bye to say. But, we made the flight on stand-by, and despite a few adventures in LAX, where we had to clear customs, we managed to get home to Portland by a little after 8pm, and were greeted by our gracious host and friend, Craig Boughton for a day or two of rest and recuperation before the final push to the Oregon Coast. I'll have a lot more to say about the entire trip, and the overall story of Trisha's and my stay in Baja when I get settled.

Thanks jodi. They really have fun personalities, and are entertaining as hell just to watch their antics and mischief... I'm glad to have them safely back in the US.

Hi Phil,
We adopted Cabo Wabo from there, I think you were one of the people who that offered to bring him to us in Canada. He is just the best little dog
and very happy now. I hope your new friends will bring as much pleasure as Cabo has for us.

Cheers,
Tony & Dianne Robertson

I knew little Cabo Wabo quite well from my stay down at El Refugio. He is a really smart little guy, and I was so glad to see him make his way up north to you, and his new home. It's a good feeling whenever any of these dogs get a chance for a new life. Feel free to keep us posted on how he's doing from time to time. I'm sure Trisha and Mariposa would love to know.

Thanks for you thoughts on my new pups. They have already made my life so much fuller than I could have even imagined. Giving any of them up for adoption will be very hard...
All the best - Phil
