Looking directly across the Siletz River towards the house which starred in "Sometimes A Great Notion." The house originally was constructed for the film, shot in the early 1970s, and later sold. The house wasn't really intended for living in, since it was actually made as a film set, and the walls were moveable. It has since been modified and turned into a real home, maintaining most of the original style seen in the movie. I saw the film a number of years ago, and much of it was filmed along the Siletz River and the local coastal beaches of Lincoln County. Henry Fonda and Paul Newman were two of the stars of the film, based on the Ken Kesey book. Well, that's about all the movie trivia I have folks.
