A Baja morning stirs...

These cranes (I think they're cranes....but I'm not a bird expert) were stealthily hunting their breakfast in the calm Sea of Cortez waters shortly after sunrise March 15, 2005. I was able to get within 15-20 ft. of them without undue alarm. If I had been fishing, they might have just approached me like the area pelicans do whenever they sense an easy handout.
