A view down the beach at Taft, Oregon, looking south toward the Salishan spit at the mouth of Siletz Bay. As I looked at the pounding waves, I kept thinking this was the same ocean I was captivated by near Pescadero, Baja California Sur. Perhaps a bit cooler. I keep wondering what Trisha and Nandi are up to 2,000 miles to the south near the tip of baja, knowing it's the same waters and sunsets we watch each evening, even while separated by such a distance. I think of them constantly as I continue to raise the four rescued baja pups.
