A piece of my heart goes with you... God speed...

This blog has been dedicated to my two 'girls,' Trisha and Nandi. And this song has been dedicated to Prudence...and all the love Trisha and I shared for 14 years, and our last day on a lonely beach in baja. May God watch over you in the years ahead. I love you, simply...

a last thought...
The thing that tells me the whole thing in baja was real, is when I hug one of the pups. Gladys Knight just came back in from outside, doing her business, and then came up to me for some affection. As I hugged her, I saw that little puppy Mariposa was bathing back in April at the ranch. It comes washing over me how real all of this really is, and how I now have these little lives intertwined with mine - and she isn't here anymore. They have grown up quite a bit since I last saw Trisha, and they remain my last earthly connection to a time when I once knew a sacred bond with her. That makes them all that more precious to me, because they carry a little bit of her inside of them, each day as I look at them... I see a little bit of Trisha... the woman I shared my life with. It's a sad thing, in a way. An ironic reminder of loss, as new lives spring from the dusty soil of a baja desert.

I hope that, with time, you're heart will heal. I hate being sad over love!
