Gladys Knight ended the day with a bad gash on her right front paw - just when you think everything went great... somebody winds up bloody... Well, Feb. 5th being a Sunday, and Super Bowl Sunday to boot, the vets were not exactly waiting for emergencies. The gash was pretty large, and deep so I did put in a call to the after-hours emergency number and did get a call back. After discussing all the options, I decided to wrap her wound to keep it fairly closed after slathering lots of antibiotic goop on it, and take her in for stitches the next day. I also got to spend some time cleaning up blood from all over the carpet in the cabin. Too bad I don't have any pictures of the wound in all its freshness...
