Saturday, Tiki Tila cut her paw, most likely on a broken piece of glass (which appears from time to time when the moles dig up remnants where the original homestead burned down years ago.) I had to take her into an after-hours visit with local vet, Dr. Emerson. I got a close look at the process of stitching her up (5 stitches) using a local anesthetic, and she behaved amazingly well during the whole thing. The wound bled quite profusely until stitched up, but she's now on the road to recovery, antibiotics and all. She doesn't really care for the bandage on her front paw, but a little bitter apple spray seems to keep her from removing it for a few hours, but keeping the wrap on will be the challenge.
